DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	A lovely and charming ORIGINAL WATER COLOUR PAINTING WITH BLACK INK OUTLINES by famed South African artist W H (Willem Hermanus) COETZER (1900 - 1983). It was painted in 1945 and I have named it VYF SPRINGBOKKIES. It was recently re - framed in a very good quality hardwood frame and mounted on a double mount to show it off beautifully. The framed painting is of average size for a water colour. It is in horizontal format and measures 310 x 565 mm in the frame and the artwork alone measures 105 x 360 mm. It is shown in the image above as sold and there are 4 more images which follow for more detail. If unsure of anything please ask a question.
CONDITION	Both the painting and frame are in very good condition and can be hung as is. There is some very slight even browning on the paper edges which is not obvious and only lends to the authenticity and antiquity of the item.

NOTES
A really lovely artwork with a typically South African theme and also a great investment piece by one of South Africa's great master painters. An unusual work by W H Coetzer who painted mainly in oil paint and signed his artworks mainly in capital letters, whereas this artwork is signed in script by fountain pen or dip pen. This painting was probably produced as an illustration for some publication.
