W.H Goss Crested China Loving Cup St, Andrews, Scotland including History of The Loving Cup Card

  

This is a crested fine china Loving Cup made by W.H. Goss.. The crests represented on this cup are: Arms of Scotland, The City of St. Andrews, and St. Andrews University. Included with this cup is also the original card that was issued by the maker telling the origin and history of the loving cup. The card has seen considerable wear as can be clearly seen on the pictures. Despite this it is still in a fairly good condition and can still be read without difficulty. The cup is in a perfect condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.

The cup is marked on the base. The base and mouth have a diameter of 5.3 cm and 6 cm respectively and the cup stand about 5.7 cm tall. From handle to handle it measures about 9 cm.
  
A very collectible piece of crested fine china by a good maker.
