This tradition, one of the longest and unbroken in the history of the sea, carried forward from the year 1655 to August 1st 1970. The superb rum in this bottle is the same rum that was standard issue aboard their Majesties ships.It was in 1979 that Charles Tobias, the founder of the Pussers brand, obtained the rights to the recipe from the Royal Navy and decided to found his company in Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands.
