A Wade whimsie of Trusty, from the Disney story of Lady and the Tramp. The Disney characters were produced by Wade between 1956 and 1985, and are often referred to as the Hat Box series as they were presented in small little boxes resembling hatboxes.
Disney figures by Wade are fairly difficult to come by because they were produced in limited quantities.
This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration, and it stands 6cm high. There is a small bubble that appeared in the glaze during firing on his foot, and has left a tiny "hole" where there is no glaze. Not a distraction to the figure at all.
It is made of porcelain, and is valued at approx. R475!
