At the same party Jensen comes face to face with his bewitching ex-wife, Jill. She too is devastated by the death of the President for she used to be his mistress. Her need to discover what really happened awakens old loyalties in Harry that he knows he can't ignore.

Then comes news of Hammond's "accidental" death and Jensen knows he must do something with the information that he alone now holds. Inspired by Jill, Jensen sets out to conduct his own investigation into the assassination.
