WALTER BATTISS – Signed 1976 First Edition + Original Artist Doodle!

A 1976 first edition monograph Walter Battiss by Murray Schoonraad (published by C. Struik).

This copy features a beautiful, bright blue ink signature by Walter Battiss himself ("Yours Sincerely, Walter Battiss"), uniquely enclosed in his iconic hand-drawn artistic loop and accompanied by an original hand-drawn doodle! The signature page is crisp, completely unblemished, and in excellent condition.

Please note the following exterior condition flaws (fully documented in the photos):

Dust Jacket: In poor condition with shelf wear, surface marks, heavy creasing, and a prominent vertical tear on the back cover. The reverse side of the jacket has old, amateur tape repairs (masking tape and library tape).

Hardcover Boards: Structurally firm and flat, but features a distinct sun-bleached/faded band running along the bottom edge of the brown cloth.

Interior: Clean, tight binding, and all inner illustrations remain bright and vivid.

I try to note all damage, marks, and deficiencies. Please look at the photos carefully, as they are part of the description. All images shown are of the actual book.
