Walter Meyer was born on 31 January 1965 in Aliwal North, South Africa, and lives in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from the University of Pretoria and spent some years studying at the “Staatliche Kunstakademie’ in Dusseldorf. He has exhibited extensively in South Africa and abroad, and has recieved a number of awards, including the ‘New Signatures’ award for Painting and Drawing in 1984 and 1987 respectively.
