Hardcover published by Thomas Nelson and Sons, 1900, no jacket. Original publisher's cloth boards with gilt titling and decorations, bumped, marked and scuffed in places. Prize label dated 1902/03 from Edinburgh Merchant Company Schools, George Watson's College for Boys pasted to the inside front board, where the pastedown is splitting at the hinge. The pages are clean and unmarked, with the exception of page xix that has finger marks along the top edge.
