GENUINE BALTIC AMBER FROM POLAND AND STERLING SILVER LARGE LINK BRACELET. 925. CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY.

This piece has a drama all of its' own. Smoothly polished oval natural Baltic amber cabochons are bezel set in sterling silver, each gemstone linked to the next by 3 large open links, the fastening a simple lobster clip. Baltic amber never fails to fascinate; warm honeyed tones are flecked with both dark and light inclusions, each different to the next, the colour positively glowing next to the sharp white sparkle of the silver. The gemstones are bezel set with openwork underneath allowing light to pass through and magnify each inclusion. The bracelet measures 20,5cm long and 7mm wide and weighs 9,26 grams. It bears the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver. It is a vintage piece but not seriously old. At 9,26 grams, I would not describe the bracelet as dainty. It is strong and solid - the thick silver links are themselves a design feature - and weighty but not a hefty piece.
