Wat zullen wij doen voor onze broeders in Zuid-Afrika?, Jhr. Mr. F. BEELAERTS VAN BLOKLAND

Translated as 'What shall we do for our brothers in South Africa?', part of the series of pamphlets, Zuid-Afrikaansche Vlugschriften, published during the Anglo-Boer War, which were focused on the situation in South Africa, particularly the Transvaal and Orange Free State. These pamphlets often dealt with political, social, and religious issues related to the conflict, including calls for support for the Boer republics.

Frans Beelaerts van Blokland, then a young civil servant, was a member of the committee of NZAV and a central figure in the philanthropic network in the Netherlands that helped the Boers.  He was also a member of a clandestine committee to smuggle volunteers into South Africa on the invitation of H.J. Kiewiet de Jonge.

Published 1899, Corns. Morks Czn, Dordrecht. 16 Pages, fine condition, original binding.
