Offered for sale is a fine watercolour by listed and well respected Zimbabwean artist Malaki Ndlovu, this painting dated 1986. The watercolour is one of a pair with similar subject matter ; the matching item is listed separately . The artist depicts commuters returning home from a city to a rural village with a heavily laden bus in the background, a mother with baby strapped to her back stooping to pick up the ubiquitous large nylon carry-all bags and a water canister while a youthful boy and his dog pushes a wheelbarrow with grain bag . The painting is signed in the bottom right hand corner. The style is representational and clearly the artist is highly skilled with a wonderfully vibrant use of colour and deft delineation of forms ; the use of the watercolour medium and brilliant colour strongly evokes the work of the late Sekoto the South African master painter . This is a small format painting framed behind glass with a wooden framed painted a muted olive green.
