WAVETECH FUNCTION GENERATOR FREQ. UNDER 1HZ to 1MHz, SINE, SQUARE AND TRIANGLE WAVEFORM OUTPUT

This American made, Wavetech, Model 102, professional function generator is in good working condition and comes complete with a detail maintenance manual with circuit diagrams, set- up procedures etc.  (see photos).

  It has been in occasional use for the past two years without any problems.

This is an extremely useful piece of equipment particularly in the Hi-Fi and related acoustic business.  The sine wave input to a hi-fi amplifier can be used to optimize loudspeaker placements to eliminate standing waves (areas where music volume changes as the listener moves) at different frequencies.

The square wave function can measure amplifier signal rise time (as in frequency response) in conjunction with an oscilloscope.

An interesting test can be carried out by connecting a standard earphone to the output (volume adjusted to a comfortable level) and slowly increasing sine wave frequency until it can no longer be heard (human audio frequency response).

(Few people can hear beyond 16 Khz (16,000 Hz) and only the young might meet this frequency!!!)
