An unusual Wedgwood jasperware blue and white plate with a marine subject to commemorate the Coelacanth, caught in South African waters in 1938.  The outer rim is decorated with shells and urchins.

It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration, and measures 16.8cm in diameter.
