Weekend Special 18 to 20 December 2009 1.5 hours drive from Jhb/Pta

Can't go away during the holiday season, but feel like getting out of the rat race? Here is a good alternative only ca 1.5 hours drive from both Johannesburg and Pretoria. Self-catering rondavel sleeping 2 (twin room) in Val, a small pasteural village between Heidelberg and Standerton, 8km off the R23. It is a very private environment with just the two guest units on the property. The rondavel has a small private patio with garden furniture, and fully equipped kitchenette. There is a bonfire place with braai facility in the garden. The bathroom has a large shower. The guesthouse garden has a large swimming pool with sun loungers to relax and we have mountain bikes available for cycling in the fields on well maintained quiet farm roads should you feel energetic. There are also plenty of walks around here and interesting birdlife. It is a quiet and safe environment and ideal for a chill-out weekend. Dogs are welcome.

The price of R600 is per unit (two people) for the whole weekend for 2 nights. This works out to R150 per person per night.
