35l Dual Circuit Cooling Unit (standard)
an evaporation cooling unit to be used with a light to medium duty spotwelding system. Westken has designed the unit for use with general purpose spot, projection and wire resistance welding machines.
We offer the machine in its standard layout that achieves an approximate 2deg - 3deg lower than ambient temperature drops and in "forced fan cooled layout" that will achieve a 3deg - 6deg lower than ambient temperature.
Please note these figures are based on the cooling machine being tested without thermal input into the cooling water.
Machine breakdown
The unit is a 220volt system and can be operated from a standard 15amp supply. The 220volt water pump unit can deliver 35 liters of cooling water at zero backpressure. The unit will deliver 15l cooling water through two welders at 3 bar pressure with a 2-bar pressure drop between inlet pressure and outlet pressure over the welder. Please note that cooling pipes fitted to the client can alter this spec if internal pipe diameters are reduced. The water tank is manufactured from polypropylene and holds approximately 125l of water. This water tank has a drain valve in place. The water return pipe is galvanized and drilled to break water up and aid the cooling effect. The water supply is fed through a galvanized inlet manifold. The machine is fitted with a power on/off switch, an indicator lamp and a manifold pressure gauge. The water tank is covered, a steel cover box with expanded metal inserts. The machine is fitted with two ½ ball valves for outlet to the welder, two 1/2" ball valves for the return from welder and a 1/2" bleed off valve for control of manifold pressure. The machine is 950mm tall, 900mm wide and 550mm deep. The machine parts are all mounted within a fully laser cut and welded frame.
