DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	Here's a nice vintage (1930s) PSYCHROMETER for your collection of scientific innstruments. It consists of an ordinary (dry bulb) thermometer and a wet bulb thermometer in a nice protective housing of galvanised metal with a comparative temperature scale. Used to measure ordinary temperature, temperature with 100% atmosperic humidity and relative humidity of a pocket of air (by comparison of the difference in temperature between the 2 thermometers). You can see this lovely instrument above. It is 36 cm high, 10.5 cm wide and 5.5 cm deep. It was manufactured by G H Zeal of London, England who has been in the business of manufacturing scientific instruments since the middle of the 19th century. CONDITION	The instrument is in very good condition with no damage and with all the original components, including the cotton sock and glass distilled water reservoir.

NOTES
A very nice, collectable and decorative vintage instrument which still functions 100%.

The wet-and-dry thermometers and Fahrenheit scales.

The bottom of the instrument with the mercury bulbs of the 2 thermometers within a little protective gate (opened here). On the right the little glass reservoir which holds the distilled water for the wet thermometer can be seen and also the cotton sock which carries the water from the reservoir to the thermometer bulb where it cools through evaporation. All the components are still original and in good condition. The housing of the instrument is made of galvanised metal.

The top of the instrument which shows the little roof of the instrument housing which can be opened. The manufacturers name can also be seen and the tops of the 2 thermometers.

The instrument shown with a match box to give an idea of relative size. It is quite large and stands 36 cm high.
