DESCRIPTION | Here's a nice vintage (1930s) PSYCHROMETER for your collection of scientific innstruments. It consists of an ordinary (dry bulb) thermometer and a wet bulb thermometer in a nice protective housing of galvanised metal with a comparative temperature scale. Used to measure ordinary temperature, temperature with 100% atmosperic humidity and relative humidity of a pocket of air (by comparison of the difference in temperature between the 2 thermometers). You can see this lovely instrument above. It is 36 cm high, 10.5 cm wide and 5.5 cm deep. It was manufactured by G H Zeal of London, England who has been in the business of manufacturing scientific instruments since the middle of the 19th century. CONDITION | The instrument is in very good condition with no damage and with all the original components, including the cotton sock and glass distilled water reservoir. |
