History: Talisker is situated on the west coast of the Island Skye on the shores of Loch Harport in the Highlands region, Talisker distillery was established in 1831. Characteristically island style, powerful and peppery. Tallisker is the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, and until 1928 the whisky was triple distilled. With its heavy peating it could never be as light as a lowland malt. It is the main constituent of Johnny Walker Red Label. By 2002 Tallisker 10 year old had won 6 gold medals and 4 trophies. A sweet and peaty nose, with a hint of sea salt. The big flavoured, peppery taste is restrained by sweetness, with a warm finish.
