Key features;
Nice wide legged bipod, ideal for larger rifles that might otherwise be harder to manage upon smaller / narrower stilts.
On the retracted setting, you'll enjoy a stance width of about a ruler length. The bipod features rubber ferrules, for improved traction upon whatever it stands.
Why a Bipod?
When shooting prone or otherwise off of a horizontal surface (for the purpose of holding your crosshairs motionless upon set target), rifle features such as a 30 round magazine might not allow for this. Likewise, let's say you have a riser in front of you w/ a bag filled w/ a fine medium, you still wouldn't be able to manipulate your rifle as finely as you would by having a 360° rotational bipod w/ 15° panning side-to-side. Not only that, but the bipod is fixed to your rifle and collapses w/out any tools needed annd can be redeployed at a moment's notice. The different angles of the legs is usually for a combination of height clearance, likewise, determines the rifle's contact point w/ the surface that it runs paralell to. Some prefer the legs forwardly positioned when shooting PCP air rifles. The ideal is to have the feet mate w/ whatever surface you deem necessary to shoot from, have the feet entrenched a little (when firing from a recoiling applicator) or just firmly mounted on a surface.
Have a look at the video below - It has been mounted upon a firearm and somewhat tested it. NB. All bipods will jump unless you keep the rifle pinned down;
