These beautiful proof-like medallions were issued, more than 35 years ago for the 50th anniversary of the Wildlife Society of Southern Africa

Because people collect different subjects and items of interest, I have decided to sell the set of medals individually.

Each of these massive medals weighs 36.5 grams and is 45 mm in diameter. It was struck in Sterling Silver (92.5% pure silver) and coated in 24 carat gold. See the first picture where the medal is compared to a South African silver 5/- crown that weighs “only” 28.2 grams.

The medal contains almost 50% MORE silver that the crown in the picture!
