Wilesco D16 Steam Engine
The Wilesco D16 is a timeless steam engine model that you can expect many years of steam fun from. Its brass boiler is highly polished and nickel-plated, with a diameter of 55 mm and a length of 140 mm, it has a boiler capacity of 250 cm³. This gives the D16 enough power to operate various accessory parts simultaneously. The brass boiler also provides you with a water level indicator formed as a view glass.
The boiler house is designed with a brick pattern, one of the two running boards is on either side of the boiler house, and a small ladder leads to the running boards on the side facing the boiler.
The double-acting, fixed brass cylinder of this model steam engine is equipped with a flywheel that can be started in both rotational directions.
You can control the steam release from this power machine via the steam whistle with a chain pull and the steam shut-off hand valve. Other high-quality features of the Wilesco D16 include an 80 mm diameter flywheel with a string running roller and a solid, aesthetically pleasing cast iron frame, a centrifugal regulator, a steam jet lubricator, and the gallery rod. This steam engine model weighs 1.8 kg, and its chimney smokes realistically. The steam engine is operated with dry fuel.
The D16's boiler is quickly heated, and the entire frame always runs smoothly in any infinitely adjustable position of the steam valve regulator.
