Willem Boshoff: word forms and language shapes 1975 - 2007
Published by Standard Bank Gallery, Johannesburg, 2007, softcover, large format,  illustrated, index, 120 pages, condition: new.
This is the exhibition catalogue of the Standard Bank Gallery show between 25 September to 1 December 2007.

The exhibition was a comprehensive survey of Boshoff's work over a 32-year period, focusing on his engagement with language, words, and forms. Boshoff is known for his "encyclopaedic impulse" and his use of words, dictionaries, and cryptic writings as artistic material. His works often challenge conventional ideas about reading and knowing, making the viewer interact with text in unconventional ways (e.g., in some works, the text is blind-accessible, in others it is encased in stone).

The exhibition and accompanying publication highlighted Boshoff's significant contribution to contemporary South African art, particularly his exploration of the intersection of language, sculpture, and conceptual art. It brought together many key pieces from various stages of his career, showcasing his consistent focus on knowledge systems and communication.
