WILLIAM DOES HIS BIT by Richmal Crompton

First published 1941. This paperback edition first published by Fontana 1971 (Armada series). Pages are faded. Condition of cover as shown in pic below. No writing nor ink marks therein. It seems to William that the war is going on a jolly long time! He's been refused permission into the army - 'cos he's too small. - Don't they realise he's growing every day? So now what? He's caught a leading spy and the only sound he hears from the air raid shelter is Farmer Smith's cow, Daisy! Then to top it all, he hears that not only have Monster Humbugs risen in price but they only last 15 minutes! And it seems because of this thing called 'war economy' there's to be no rise in pocket money! When will the war end?
