William IV Flame Mahogany Scotch Chest of Drawers Circa 1830
A fine and richly detailed William IV Scotch Chest of Drawers, dating to circa 1830, crafted in mahogany and striking flame-mahogany veneers. This handsome piece is presented in two parts, typical of the period, and showcases refined craftsmanship and understated elegance.
Features a rectangular breakfront top with a concealed secret drawer, cleverly hidden above a set of three shaped hat drawers.
The sides are adorned with hand-carved Acanthus leaf detailing, adding a sculptural flourish to the form.
Below are three graduating drawers with original wooden knob handles, offering generous storage.
The lower section includes two further secret drawers, flanked by elegant turned cylindrical pilasters, all resting on classic stepped, flattened bun feet.
