Die avonture van Paulus van Gass in Wit Oemfaan is op die werklikheid gebaseer. Paulus is 'n aangenome seun saam met die Trekkers na Natal. Tog het nie een van die Trekkerseuns die avonture wat Paulus beleef het nie en nie een is deur omstandighede gedwing om alleen sulke gewigtige besluite te neem soos Paulus nie!!! Lekker leesstof.
