A history of the earliest days of the Sabi Game Reserve, written by the man whose guidance made it into one of the greatest game reserves of the world, the Kruger National Park of today.

Hardcover second edition published 1952 by Cassell and Company Ltd, in the worn and torn remnants of a jacket, that are now contained within a cellophane covering. The name of the previous owner is written on the first endpaper. Accompanying the book are four short notes to him, three dated 1970 and one dated 1974, written by Hilda Stevenson-Hamilton, the wife of the author, on stationary bearing the address of the farm Gibraltar in White River, the home of the Stevenson-Hamiltons. There is also a Christmas card with art produced by Hilda, depicting two leopards at the foot of a tree, with her Christmas wishes.
