Hardcover published by Blackie and Son Limited, no jacket, and undated but circa 1920s. The pictorial boards are rubbed and edge-worn with light surface scratches, and scuffing and bumps to extremities. The spine is cocked. The first end-paper has been removed, with only a stub remaining. The name of a previous owner is written in pen on the reverse of the frontispiece portrait. There is some pencil notation to the half-title page, but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked.
