**Review of Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot (PS4)**

---

### Gameplay & Mechanics

*Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot* is a virtual reality spin-off of the long-running *Wolfenstein* franchise, designed specifically for PSVR. Rather than putting players in the boots of a resistance fighter like B.J. Blazkowicz, the game casts you as a **hacker assisting the French Resistance**, remotely piloting Nazi war machines to sabotage their forces from within.

Gameplay focuses on **controlling three different mechanized units**: the Panzerhund (a massive mechanical dog that breathes fire), the drone (used for stealth infiltration), and the Zitadelle (a heavily armed mech). Each unit offers a unique playstyle and weapon set, but the missions themselves are relatively linear and straightforward.

The controls are intuitive for VR, using the PS Move controllers or DualShock 4 to aim, move, and interact with the cockpit. The sense of scale inside each machine is impressiveyou truly feel like youre sitting inside powerful Nazi war tech. However, the movement mechanics can feel sluggish at times, and the limited variety of interactions reduces long-term engagement.

Combat is enjoyable in short bursts, with explosive destruction and satisfying weapon feedback. Setting enemies ablaze with the Panzerhund or unleashing rockets from the Zitadelle delivers solid moments of power fantasy. Unfortunately, encounters become repetitive quickly, and the games short length (roughly two to three hours) doesnt leave much room for deeper mechanics or replayability.

### Story & Setting

The story takes place in the *Wolfenstein* universe during an alternate 1980s where the Nazis have won the war and now control Europe. You play as a **cyber hacker** working alongside the French Resistance in Paris, using hijacked Nazi mechs to disrupt their forces.

While the premise is intriguing, the storytelling is minimal. Most of the narrative unfolds through brief dialogue exchanges between your hacker character and your Resistance handler, a French woman who offers guidance and comic relief. There are moments of personality and humor, but the story never digs deep into the broader *Wolfenstein* lore or emotional stakes.

Instead, the game focuses on delivering a VR spectacle rather than a narrative-driven experience. Fans expecting the intensity and character-driven storytelling of *The New Order* or *The New Colossus* will find *Cyberpilot* relatively shallow in comparison.

### Graphics & Presentation

Visually, *Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot* makes solid use of PSVR hardware. The interiors of the mechs are well-detailed, with glowing control panels, flickering lights, and moving parts that enhance immersion. The futuristic yet gritty art design fits the *Wolfenstein* aesthetic perfectly.

Environments, however, are limited. Missions take place in confined urban areas or industrial zones, and while they look decent in VR, they lack variety and interactivity. The games visual clarity depends heavily on the PS4 model and VR headsetyou may notice blur or aliasing during fast movement.

Still, the explosions, lighting effects, and mechanical designs are impressive for VR, giving the player a genuine sense of destructive power. The game runs smoothly with few technical issues, though its visual scope feels constrained by the platforms limitations.
