Wonderful Antique Engraved Cut-Crystal Wine Goblet (Stourbridge Glass)
This truly superb, wonderful quality, Victorian hand-cut and beautifully engraved, hollow stem 'Stourbridge Glass' crystal wine goblet is in excellent condition and was made around the 1880's in 'Stourbridge', England, possibly by one of the top designers 'Joseph Keller' or 'John Richardson'. It has an attractive, tall shape with a large, rounded bowl sitting on a tapered hexagonal hollow stem with a flat 'star-cut' foot. The bowl is beautifully decorated with hand engraved dragonfly's and flowers amongst garlands of ivy, in amazing detail along the top and a hand-cut, 'diamond' criss-cross pattern around the lower half with a 'thumb print' cut design in the middle. This impressive piece stands 18,3cm high, has a top and base diameter of 8,4cm & 8cm and weighs 275g.
