About the artist

Frank Phiri is one of a group of artist Kunsopdieplaas has taken under its wing. These group of artist all come from the Nkatha Bay, Mzuzu region in Malawi. Their work is wonderfully imaginative depicting day to day life of the locals. Scenes depicting fisherman, woman going to market and even paintings of the warriors all give an insight to life in rural Malawi and shows of some of its culture. Their work is detailed, decorative and wonderfully colourful and will bring joy to any space it ends up in.
