Wonderful Large Early Chinese Brass Planter
This impressive, large, heavy solid brass Chinese planter from the early 1900's, has been beautifully decorated in relief with lovely detail and stands on three chunky brass 'Foo Dog' feet. Along the top it is decorated with an engraved repetitive pattern like flowers, and all round the lower half in relief, are breaking waves with five lovely, detailed birds in relief, flying in different poses above the waves. The brass planter has a lovely aged rich colour to it and would also be ideal for wood or coal near a fireplace. Other than a well-used interior it is super condition for its age. It stands 24,6cm high, has a diameter of 27cm, and weighs a heavy 3,6kg.
