Wonderful Large 'Modernist' Solid Silver Pitcher/Jug 

This wonderful, large, mid-century, solid silver jug or pitcher was made in Spain by fifth generation silversmiths 'Jeronimo and Manuel Seco' who are based in 'Seville'. It has the most amazing modernist shape, very similar to the Scandinavian and Danish designs of the same period. This super jug is in great condition and stands 20cm high, with the body, at its widest, measuring 15cm x 12cm and it weighs 515g. The base is stamped with the Spanish pentagram (star) mark, indicating it has a purity of .915/1000, just below sterling silver which is .925/1000. It is also stamped 'SECO' for the maker and 'M. SPAIN'.
