An original unframed oil painting, 21 x 13cm, by Stan Polson (1971 - ).  Stan Polson was born in Reddersberg in 1971 and grew up between Rustenburg and Pretoria.

He believes himself to be a fun-loving and colourful character, refusing to grow up and is inspired by life, which he wants to soak up! The smile on his children's faces and the smell of the earth after a good rain are some of the small things that bring joy to him.

Stan originally studied Psychology for about 4 months, and then went on to work in the motor-glass industry, where he always felt that something was missing.

On his 33rd birthday, he received paints and frames as a gift, which he took as a sign and began to follow his true life's passion and desire- art. He says that in your twenties you search for life and in your thirties you search for yourself...Art is his mid-life crisis!

Stan is self-taught and paints landscapes with a South African touch; he sees the humility, vibrancy and innocence in God's creation and portrays that in his simplistic and colourful pieces.

He currently lives in Pretoria with his wife (his love from high school) and his two beloved children.
