Wonderful Antique Venetian Glass Jug & Stopper 

This very pretty, small, antique, hand-blown venetian (possibly Moser) glass jug and stopper from the late 1800's or early 1900's, has a lovely shape with the most amazing gilt work and hand enamelling. It's a small pitcher shaped, slender cranberry glass jug with a tall pointed clear glass stopper. Most of the jug is beautifully gilded, then decorated with some very pretty and dainty hand enamelling in various colours. It has a nice recessed pontil mark on the base, and other than a small hairline crack and tiny chip where the handle joins the jug, it's in excellent condition, with no wear to the gilding. The jug stands 21cm high (16cm without the stopper), with a base diameter of 5,5cm.
