Woodstock Mafia were a 4-piece rock outfit from Cape Town, South Africa. Since 2011, their hard, alternative rock had captivated audiences and their energetic live shows left crowds screaming for more. Their debut album, 'Defiance', is a full-length, 12-track soundscape of the bands' signature sound and has been described by Rolling Stone as 'an iridescent debut album'.

The bands first single, 'Electric Light', thrust them into the local spotlight with a lengthy playlisting on 5FM, and a double MKtv award-nominated music video. The single was also featured on numerous compilations. Woodstock Mafia have been main stage acts at top South African music festivals including Oppikoppi, Rocking the Daisies, Ramfest, Up The Creek and Splashy Fen.

Their international appeal saw Woodstock Mafia support Chevelle on their Cape Town tour in May 2013, and they have shared stages with top acts such as Deftones and Dead Letter Circus. Locally they can were found regularly alongside leading SA acts such as Taxi Violence and The Plastics to name a few.
