BOTTOM OF BASE MARKED: CLOCK SETTING- SET THE HOUR GRADUATION ON THE GREENWICH LINE ON LONGITUDE. THE TIME AT ANY PARTICULAR PLACE CAN THEN BE READ AT THE POINT WHERE ITS LONGITUDE LINE MEETS THE CLOCK.
