Here we have a unique album with 165 World War One Era Charity Labels or Stickers or Stamps, mostly issued to those who supported the war effort. Neatly displayed over 14 sheets of thick black card,

They amount to a fascinating snapshot of the 1914 to 1918 war era in Cape Town and we can see exactly which causes were supported: Springbok soldiers at the front, those blinded in the trenches, Armstice Day, visiting troops in Wynberg, Christmas gifts for the boys,  Remember Gauche Wood  and many many more. The Confident of Early Victory sticker is the saddest.

At the back there are also 2 Southern Rhodesia lottery tickets, one from 1938  and one from 1937  which is torn.

After that are a set of 10 colour cigarette cards depicting the film stars of the day. These look to be from the silent movie era in the 1920s. Marion Davies the Gish sisters, etc.

I could not list more photographs of the album  as I am restricted to 14 in the number that I can include with the listing.

The album itself is still in very good condition with tight binding and the words " My Cigarette Pictures" on the front.

I have left the album untouched and exactly as it was when I acquired it.
