Made in 1937, this Schermuly "Pistol Rocket Apparatus" was used for firing a line from one ship to another, so as to transport messages etc between the ships. It has a Colt pattern pistol grip and teak handles and still functions perfectly. It was apparently bought from the clearance auction of the famous Crayfish Inn at Ramsgate. 51cm long, weighs 2 kg.
