Was acquired from a collection of Chinese and South-East Asian artifacts and buddhas. A nice piece to add to your collection.

These spherical claw bells are widely known as Elephant Bells. In ancient times these bells helped to decorate elephants. This bell is beautifully engraved and very decorative

They are Great Pieces and small enough to fit almost anywhere yet the detail is great and packs a big punch in weight and looks! Good condition for age with normal age related scratches and scuffs, nice Patina and looks awesome! Both sold as good used secondhand condition. On Ebay for R4970-

Budai was a popular, Chinese, wandering Buddhist monk in the 10th century. All what he owned he had with him in the carpet-bag. You can google the legends about him.
