A rare find !! This beautiful brooch was made during the late 1800`s using a genuine Lions` claw with gold fitting . The pin has been replaced with either brass or bronze . The gold has been scanned with various purities detected from 9ct to 14ct which is commonplace with jewelry of this period . Also tested with acid and results are positive for gold . Further testing would damage the piece . Identical pieces sell for upward of £450 ( R9000 + ) .
