This early, original, WW1/2 British 1907 Pattern sword bayonet and scabbard were designed to be used with the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) rifle. The bayonet was produced by makers Sanderson Bros. & Newbould in Sheffield and comes with a WW2, Australian made Mangrovite 42 leather scabbard. The top of the blade (Ricasso) is stamped with the Crown GR over 1907 marks with SANDERSON along with the Broad Arrow and other stamps on the reverse. The scabbard is impressed with MANGROVITE 42 on the leather along with a Broad Arrow and the letter B, with the letter W below. The overall condition is great, and it measures 55,5cm in length, 58cm with scabbard and the blade measures 43cm.
