An EXCELLENT example of World War I , Austro-Hungarian Steyr Mannlicher M1895 Bayonet w/out Scabbard. This piece appears to be in a VF state , with complete Blade and secure handle. All Imperial Acceptance marks are visible on obverse and reverse. Wooden grip-scales are present and intact. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Mortise appears to function when engaged. Scabbard is NO LONGER PRESENT.
This piece would have been utilised by soldiers of the Austro-Hungarian Imperial Armies, with the Steyr-Mannlicher straight pull rifle system throughout the Conflict from 1914-18.
