1897 dated German 7,7cm Feldkanone C96 shell case. The German Imperial colonial " Schutztruppen" still used the 7,7cm FK C96 (Krupp) at the start of WW1 against the South African Union Defence Force that invaded German South West Africa in 1914/15.
