WW1 Medal Pair 'PTE. P.G. Norris' (Machine Gun Corps)

This original, WW1 British pair of full-size medals were awarded to 'Private Philip G. Norris' who served with the 'Machine Gun Corps'. The medals are in great condition, nicely tarnished with their original ribbons and impressed on their rims '171082 PTE. P.G. NORRIS. M.G.C.'.

NOTE: The 'M.G.C.' had a short history, being formed in 1915 and disbanded in 1922. They were involved in all the main actions of the war and earned a reputation for their heroism as a front-line fighting force, and due to serving well in advance of the front line, suffered a very high casualty rate, sadly earning the nickname the 'Suicide Club'.

Please feel free to email me with any queries, and please look closely at the pictures provided as they are of the actual item and form a vital part of the description.
