WW1 Pattern 1907 Sword Bayonet By Sanderson With Scabbard. Dated 1918.

A fine example British WW1 Pattern 1907 sword bayonet manufactured for the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield rifle (SMLE Mark 3).  This particular one was produced by "Sanderson Bros and Newbold Ltd" Sheffield, England.  The left ricasso (section of the blade closest to the hilt) bears the "crown" for George Rex over "1907" and is dated "5 18" (May, 1918) with maker's stamp "Sanderson".  The right ricasso bears the "broad arrow" government acceptance mark, the "X" bend test stamp and inspector's stamps.  I have yet to see a Pattern 1907 bayonet with a blade in finer condition (please see pics).  Included is the metal and leather scabbard.  The blade withdraws and inserts smoothly.
