Hi there, I have this great WW1 wooden box torch. These military antiques are highly collectable and this particular one is in very good condition. Interestingly enough, on the inside is a stamped text of writing, it is sadly not legible, but I think it may be a prayer for a solider in the trenches (I have not seen another one on line with this stamp), I could also be very wrong. 
Please see the last picture with the cup for the size referecence. There is a slight crack in the domed glass, not really noticable and doesn't affect the glass intergrity at all.
