WW2 1940 Tel.Sig. (MK VII) Rare Full Metal Telescope.  Ottway & Co.  85cm.  Extraordinary Condition.

Full metal construction likely brass or steel, painted or textured for anti-glare and durability.  Rarer than later mixed-material models. The pebbled texture suggests a hammer-tone finish, common for military equipment to reduce reflection and improve grip. These telescopes were used extensively by British artillery units, forward observers, and naval crews during WWII.  Often tripod-mounted but also used handheld for mobility.

In excellent condition with clear vision due to the original front and back metal protective caps being present.  The telescope opens and closes smoothly.  The markings are crisp (please see images above).
