2 British Artillery Fuze No 390 Mk 3 INERT


British No 390 Mark 3 fuze, Second World War period, The No 390 time fuze was introduced in 1943 being an adaptation of the No 199 for use in Tank smoke shells and Mortar smoke bombs. The Mark 2 onwards had the bottom time ring filled RD 202. From 1955 the ballistic caps were anodised blue. A special version of the fuze was designed in 1944 which had the top ring marked in ranges instead of time, and was intended for use with the 95mm Tank howitzer.
