An EXCELLENT example of World War 2 , 1930s German Army Officer's Cap Insignia w/ Cockade Type I . This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Aluminium structure appears intact with Manufacturer code on rear. Retention Pins have expired due to age related surface wear. Cockade will display signs of handling within Felt central inlay.
This piece would have been issued to Commissioned Officer's of the Heer / German Army from 1935 until 1943 - later being replaced by the Wartime Economy 'Kriegsmetall' variant insignia.
