This piece remains in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Graphic Design Relief is present and ddetailed.Insignia remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling.

An EXCELLENT example of a RARE, WW2 German Gebirgsjäger 'Kriegsmetall' Edelweiss Cap Insignia. This piece appears to be in a VF state , with detailed Relief on obverse. All securing grommets present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. The Edelweiss Insignia was worn on the Left-handside of the M43 Bergmütze Fieldcap by all members of the Gebirgsjäger Regiments.
The Metallic Insignia was discontinued in 1944, and replaced with an Embroidered fieddress variant for all ranks.
The ideal addition to any World War 2 Era, German Army Insignia collection or display- for the enthusiast seeking a unique period piece for their assortment.
