An EXCELLENT example of a Second World War (1939-45) Italian Air Force Officer's Brass Epaulette Insignia with Pins.  Graphic Design Relief depicting the letters 'A' & 'R' intertwined, and Lightning bolts appear to be detailed & complete.  Two Pins are Intact- however, it appears that Four were present at some point in time. The Royal Italian Air Force ( Regia Aeronautica Italiana ), was established in 1923 and held 110 International Records during the 1930s for Distance, High-Speed & Altitude Flights. An experienced and skilled Branch of the Armed Forces , the Italian Air Force participated in the Ethiopian War , Spanish Civil War & throughout the Second World War in support of German Operations.
